Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Workspace Manager is a Chrome extension that saves and restores your browser window layouts. This policy explains what data the extension touches and — more importantly — what it doesn't.
The short version
Everything stays on your device. Workspace Manager does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no external servers, and no accounts.
What the extension stores (locally only)
- Saved workspaces: window positions and sizes, tab URLs and titles, pinned/active tab states, and monitor information — captured only when you click Save or Quick Save.
- Layout templates and settings: your custom templates and preferences.
- Trial status: the date your free trial started.
All of this lives in Chrome's local storage on your computer. It never leaves your device. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.
Permissions, explained
- Tabs: needed to read tab URLs and titles when you save a workspace, and to reopen them when you restore. The extension never reads page contents.
- Storage: needed to save your workspaces locally.
- Display information: needed to remember which monitor each window belongs on for multi-monitor restore.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe on our website — never inside the extension. We do not see or store your card details; Stripe's own privacy policy governs payment data.
Backups you export
The Export feature downloads a JSON file of your saved workspaces to your computer. That file is yours — we never receive a copy.
